Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s security forces following their recent counterterrorism operations in Balochistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders released separate statements praising the professional skills of the security forces in dismantling terrorist activities believed to be supported by external influences in the regions of Mastung, Quetta, Kalat, and Sibi. The President highlighted that the elimination of over 1,188 terrorists in Balochistan this year underscores the significant challenges faced by the nation and the capabilities of its security personnel.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the ongoing initiative, Azm-e-Istehkam, which aims to continue operations against anti-state elements until all threats are neutralized.
