President Alvi Advocates for Increased OIC Cooperation on Islamophobia and Science

Islamabad, In a recent discussion with the outgoing Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, Ismatullo Nasredin, President Dr. Arif Alvi underscored the importance of enhanced cooperation among Islamic countries to address the issue of Islamophobia globally.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi emphasized the need for stronger collaboration within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, particularly in science and technology, to tackle contemporary challenges. He expressed contentment over the growing bilateral ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan, notably in trade, energy, and defense.

During the meeting, President Alvi also spoke about the situation in Gaza. He conveyed Pakistan’s deep empathy for the people of Gaza amidst ongoing violence and human rights violations by Israeli forces. President Alvi expressed disappointment with the international community’s failure to halt these atrocities, highlighted by the distressing images emerging from Gaza.

This call for greater OIC cooperation on critical issues like Islamophobia and scientific advancements reflects Pakistan’s commitment to fostering unity and addressing common challenges among Islamic nations.
