Karachi, Karamullah Waqasi, Spokesman for the Karachi Mayor’s Political Affairs, declared that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is set to permanently end the politics of hatred and division, emphasizing the party’s commitment to public service and development.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Waqasi underscored the PPP’s dedication to enhancing the lives of citizens, particularly in Sindh. He highlighted the party’s initiatives, such as building houses for poor flood victims and improving healthcare facilities. Waqasi mentioned the PPP’s plan to double the salary of its employees and ensure free treatment for everyone, pointing out that the party has established hospitals across Sindh, benefiting people nationwide.
Waqasi also commented on the changing political landscape in Karachi, noting a significant shift in voter support from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to the PPP. He cited that MQM’s vote count had drastically dropped from 70,000 to 10,000, indicating growing public confidence in the PPP. This shift is attributed to the transformative work of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab in reconstructing and developing the city.
The spokesman further stated that the PPP is committed to serving the public by fighting against the challenges of inflation, poverty, and unemployment. Waqasi emphasized the importance of following the ideology of Bibi Shaheed (Benazir Bhutto) and working as per the philosophy of the party’s leaders.
The PPP’s approach, as described by Waqasi, signals a move towards more inclusive and service-oriented politics in Karachi and beyond, aiming to unify and uplift communities across the region.
