ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its strategic partnership with China, emphasizing the importance of deepening ties between the two nations. The statement was made during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad, where discussions centered around bilateral cooperation and regional matters of mutual interest.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted the positive trajectory of the Pak-China relationship and stressed the significance of fostering people-to-people contacts and exchanges between political parties and parliaments. Ambassador Jiang Zaidong presented a letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressing appreciation for Prime Minister Sharif’s correspondence on the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China’s founding.
