Islamabad: In a recent meeting held in Islamabad, Pakistan’s Minister for Energy, Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with neighboring Iran. The discussion, which took place with Iranian Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, highlighted the collaborative efforts between the two countries to address regional challenges through peaceful dialogue.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Leghari emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation between the two nations, particularly in the realm of energy. He acknowledged Iran’s consistent electricity supply to Pakistan, despite the complex security situation in the region. The minister noted that such collaboration is crucial for maintaining stability and fostering economic growth.

During the meeting, Ambassador Moghadam expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s support during difficult periods. He praised the diplomatic initiatives led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, noting their contributions to the success of peace talks held in Islamabad. The ambassador reiterated Iran’s commitment to maintaining robust relations with Pakistan, emphasizing the shared goals and mutual interests that bind the two countries.
