Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif underscored Pakistan’s commitment to fostering peace in the region during a telephone conversation with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The exchange included extending festive greetings and discussing regional tensions.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the conversation, the Prime Minister condemned the ongoing hostilities in the region, particularly recent attacks against Bahrain, offering condolences for the loss of lives. Sharif expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s patience and restraint in response to the attacks and reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Bahrain during these challenging times.
Both leaders discussed Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach aimed at restoring regional peace. The Prime Minister assured King Hamad of Pakistan’s continued support for diplomatic efforts to end hostilities. They agreed to maintain close contact on bilateral and regional issues.
