Jammu, July 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): The working president of Indian National Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Raman Bhalla has attributed the delay in the conduct of the Assembly polls to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s rapidly falling graph among people. Raman Bhalla Addressing a public meeting in Khour, Jammu, said: “When they (BJP) can hold Urban and Local Bodies polls then what is restraining them from holding Assembly elections.
He said that the BJP was perhaps not feeling “politically comfortable” as its “much- hyped pitch about generation of large-scale employment after its historical blunders in IIOJK did not happen on the ground”. Besides, bureaucrats from outside IIOJK have been given “plum postings”, which has caused resentment among local officials, he said, adding there was a “disconnect between the administration and common people”.
Raman Bhalla said people of Kashmir will teach BJP a lesson like recent elections in Karnataka, as the ruling party committed great atrocities upon the common people and all sections of society are great sufferers due to the policies of the BJP government. He said that BJP has let loose a reign of terror through heavy taxes and other anti-poor, anti-farmers, anti-youth and anti-trade policies besides looting the local resources after the arbitrary disbanding and downgrading of historic Dogra State and offering jobs to outsiders at the cost of large scale unemployment in the territory.
