Peaceful and stable Afghanistan vital for regional prosperity: NA Deputy Speaker

Islamabad, November 10, 2021 (PPI-OT):Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are deeply linked in religious and cultural traditions and both countries share common values. He said that Afghanistan is passing through decisive phase and it is upto the whole world to support Afghanistan for peace and stability.

He said that peace in Afghanistan is vital for regional peace and prosperity. He expressed these views while addressing the conference ” Pak- Afghan Relations under New Afghanistan Government” organized by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) in Islamabad today.

Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri said that Pakistan believes in independent, free and stable Afghanistan as its neighbours. He said that the world should not leave Afghanistan in this time of distress. He also said that incumbent government under leadership of Imran Khan Prime Minister of Pakistan would continue to support Afghanistan and its people for peace and stability.

He said that Afghanistan and Pakistan have great opportunities in the field of trade and business. He said that peaceful Afghanistan would provide an opportunity for trade with Central Asian States and Pakistan would also provide trade routes through CPEC to Afghanistan. Later on Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri distributed Shields to organizer of event.
