Islamabad, 16 Oct 2023: Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani of Pakistan has engaged in critical discussions with his Iranian and Egyptian counterparts concerning the escalating situation in Gaza. These talks come amid increasing concerns over the safety of Palestinians, the dire humanitarian conditions they face, and the urgent requirement for aid.
In a discussion with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossien Amir Abdollahian, Jilani elaborated on the challenges faced in Gaza, emphasizing the loss of civilian lives and the widespread displacement of Palestinians. Both ministers came to a consensus regarding the necessity to swiftly address the conflict and ensure the delivery of humanitarian support.
Similarly, Jilani and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shukri, also discussed potential measures to mitigate the ongoing conflict, with a focus on shielding civilians from collective harm, starvation, and further displacement.
