Islamabad: Pakistan celebrated World Youth Skills Day with a message from Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, emphasizing the significant role of youth in the nation’s future. According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister acknowledged the impact of digital innovation and emerging technologies on the labor market. The government has prioritized skills development as a central component of its economic strategy, transforming the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to deliver internationally recognized training and certifications.

The government has allocated a substantial budget to strengthen technical skills development through NAVTTC, underscoring its commitment to investing in human capital. The strategy aims to expand employment opportunities and nurture a skilled workforce capable of driving national productivity and economic development.
