IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Addresses Police Personnel Grievances at Central Police Office


Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, convened a meeting at the Central Police Office to address grievances raised by police personnel and their families, resulting in immediate directives aimed at resolving their issues. IG Punjab listened to concerns ranging from outstanding dues to requests for official accommodation and recruitment of family members, promptly instructing relevant officers to take necessary actions.



According to Punjab Police, the meeting included a variety of issues brought forward by police personnel and their families. The father of late Constable Tanveer Ahmed submitted an application regarding outstanding dues, prompting IG Punjab to instruct the DIG Welfare and Finance to expedite relief efforts. Head Constable Muhammad Zaman’s request for official accommodation led to directives for AIG Development to consider the matter, while financial assistance for Barber Ammar Yasir was directed to the DIG Welfare and Finance.



In response to Inspector Muhammad Kashif’s transfer request, DIG Establishment-I was ordered to provide assistance. The widow of late ASI Shoukat Ali sought recruitment for her child, leading to Additional IG Punjab being tasked with considering the request. Driver Constable Tariq Mehmood’s application for medical financial assistance and a recruitment request from the widow of late Constable Zafar Iqbal were directed to the Additional IG Welfare and Finance for resolution.



IG Punjab Abdul Kareem also issued directions on various other applications concerning discipline, administration, promotions, and welfare, signaling a commitment to addressing the concerns of police personnel and their families.
