Pakistani Speaker Mourns the Loss of Iranian President and Officials

Islamabad, The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has expressed his profound sorrow over the tragic death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other senior officials in a helicopter crash. The incident, which also claimed the life of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, has sent shockwaves through Pakistan’s political landscape.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq described the news as deeply heart-wrenching and lamented the sudden loss of President Raisi, whom he called a great friend of Pakistan. He recalled their recent discussions, which had focused on strengthening bilateral and parliamentary ties and advancing regional development initiatives between the two nations. The Speaker also reminisced about President Raisi’s remarks on the deep-rooted connections between the people of Iran and Pakistan.
