Pakistan Urges UN for Action Against Israeli Actions in Gaza, Advocates Two-State Solution

New York, Pakistan has urged the United Nations to take decisive steps to halt the ongoing violence in Gaza by Israel. The call for action was made during a debate on the Middle East crisis at the Security Council in New York. Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, emphasized that a sustainable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict hinges on a two-state solution.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Akram articulated Pakistan’s hope that the Security Council will adopt a resolution demanding an immediate cessation of hostilities. He stressed the necessity of unhindered access to humanitarian aid for the people in Gaza and called for international protection for the Palestinian population.
