Islamabad, In a significant move for regional deterrence, Pakistan announced a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System today. The primary objective of this test flight was to re-validate various design aspects, assess technical parameters, and evaluate the performance of different sub-systems that constitute the weapon.
The Ababeel Weapon System serves as a cornerstone in fortifying deterrence and bolstering strategic stability within the region. Its introduction is part of a broader approach to achieving Full Spectrum Deterrence within the ambit of Credible Minimum Deterrence.
This momentous test was overseen by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, along with a host of senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Strategic Forces Command, and esteemed scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. Expressing his appreciation, General Mirza lauded the technical expertise, dedication, and unwavering commitment demonstrated by everyone involved in ensuring the test’s success.
Additionally, felicitations poured in from the President, Prime Minister, and Services Chiefs of Pakistan, all extending their hearty congratulations to members of the Strategic Forces for their landmark achievement.
