Dubai: In a significant move to bolster its presence in the global energy market, Pakistan inaugurated its pavilion at the Middle East Energy 2025 exhibition in Dubai. The event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is regarded as the region’s foremost energy exhibition, attracting over 40,000 industry professionals and 1,600 international exhibitors.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s envoy to the UAE, officiated the opening of the pavilion, which is organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. The pavilion highlights the participation of eight prominent Pakistani companies, each demonstrating forward-thinking solutions across five critical energy sectors.
The sectors showcased include Smart Solutions, Clean and Renewable Energy, Backup Generators and Critical Power, Transmission and Distribution, and Energy Consumption and Management. The event also saw attendance from notable figures such as Consul General Hussain Muhammad, Trade and Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, and Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council Dubai, Shabbir Merchant.
Ambassador Tirmizi expressed satisfaction with Pakistan’s expanding influence in the energy sector. He noted the pavilion’s success in attracting global buyers and emphasized the country’s focus on smart energy solutions, renewable technologies, and power infrastructure.
Highlighting the growth of Pakistan’s exports, particularly to the MENA region, the Ambassador underscored the importance of the UAE as a vital trading partner. He pointed out that the exhibition serves as a crucial platform for Pakistani businesses to engage in knowledge exchange and develop partnerships with international industry leaders, thus enhancing Pakistan’s role in the global energy arena.
