Pakistan Promises Enhanced Facilities for Sikh Pilgrims

HASAN ABDAL: The Pakistani government has reaffirmed its dedication to providing comprehensive support to Sikh pilgrims visiting the country, according to the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf. During a ceremony in Hasan Abdal, he emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to welcoming Sikh pilgrims from around the world, highlighting the nation’s peaceful and hospitable environment.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Yousaf noted the ongoing efforts to renovate and beautify Sikh Gurdwaras across Pakistan as part of the government’s initiative to enhance facilities for pilgrims. Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Kesoo Mal Kheal Das, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing that religious minorities, including Sikhs and Hindus, enjoy equal status in Pakistan. He stated that the country allows these communities to freely visit their places of worship.

Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, echoed these sentiments, stating that Pakistan is a proponent of peace, love, and harmony. He highlighted the unparalleled respect and affection shown to Sikh pilgrims in the country, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all religious communities.
