Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to President To Lam of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, along with the government and citizens, on the occasion of their 81st National Day. According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari’s message highlighted Vietnam’s significant progress since its independence in 1945, noting advancements across political, economic, and social sectors.

In his letter, President Zardari underscored the value Pakistan places on its friendly relations with Vietnam and reiterated a commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation. This, he stated, would be to the mutual benefit of both nations. The President also looked ahead to the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year, extending a formal invitation to President To Lam to visit Pakistan. This invitation aims to commemorate the diplomatic milestone and to celebrate the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Vietnam.
