Pakistan Pavilion Inaugurated at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026


Abu Dhabi: The Pakistan Pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026 was inaugurated by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan at the ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi. The ceremony was attended by key figures from Pakistan’s publishing and literary sectors, including Mr. Murad Ali Mohmand of the National Book Foundation, Mr. Amar Shahid from Book Corner Pakistan, and Mr. Sarmad Khan of Urdu Books World.



According to Press Information Department, the Pakistan Pavilion showcases a wide array of publications that embody the country’s literary, educational, cultural, and intellectual history. Featured works include those from the National Book Foundation, Book Corner Pakistan, and other prominent publishers, spanning genres such as Urdu and English literature, education, history, culture, religion, poetry, fiction, biographies, and contemporary works.



Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan toured the Pavilion post-inauguration, engaging with the participating publishers. He acknowledged their contributions to promoting Pakistani literature on an international scale and reiterated the Embassy’s commitment to enhancing Pakistan’s literary and cultural footprint in the UAE.



In a meeting with H.E. Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, the Ambassador discussed potential collaborations to bolster Pakistan-UAE relations in literature, publishing, translation, education, and cultural exchange.



The Pakistan Pavilion, situated at Hall 5, Stand 5E24 in the ADNEC Centre, will be open to visitors from September 13 to 18, 2026, offering a chance to delve into Pakistan’s literary and publishing domain.
