RIYADH: Pakistan is swiftly advancing its digital framework, aiming to establish a comprehensive digital ecosystem, according to Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication. The initiative is seen as a significant step toward positioning the country as a major contender for global investment in the technology sector.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Khawaja highlighted these developments while speaking at the LEAP 2026 technology event in Riyadh. She emphasized Pakistan’s progress in digital infrastructure and the burgeoning technology sector, which collectively present substantial investment opportunities on the global stage. The minister also noted that Pakistan has established special technology zones for domestic companies, offering tax exemptions for the next decade to enhance their global competitiveness.
