Pakistan Asserts Readiness to Defend National Security, Rejects Talks with Terrorists

Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reinforced Pakistan’s stance on national security and its readiness to defend against any threats during her weekly media briefing. Baloch urged the Afghan interim authorities to take decisive actions against terrorist groups operating from Afghanistan that threaten Pakistan’s sovereignty.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Baloch articulated Pakistan’s respect for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity but stressed the necessity for Afghanistan to prevent its soil from being used for attacks against Pakistan. She firmly rejected the possibility of negotiating with terrorist groups responsible for violence against Pakistani civilians and law enforcement.

Additionally, Baloch addressed regional issues, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations and urging India to respect Kashmiri rights to self-determination as per UN Security Council resolutions.
