LONDON: Pakistan and the United Kingdom have reached an agreement to strengthen their bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, and other mutual security interests. The understanding was achieved during a meeting in London between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and British National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting involved discussions on significant regional and international security issues, focusing on areas such as South Asia, the Middle East, and Afghanistan. Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized Pakistan’s critical role in fostering regional peace and security. He also highlighted the country’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to support dialogue, de-escalation, and negotiated solutions.

Both nations agreed on the importance of maintaining close consultations regarding developments in regional security, underscoring a shared commitment to addressing mutual security challenges through enhanced cooperation.
