Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed a decisive crackdown on human trafficking networks and the hawala-hundi mafia. According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Zonal Office in Lahore, Naqvi stressed the importance of dismantling the entire chain involved in these illegal activities and bringing them to justice.

The Interior Minister assured that the government is providing all necessary resources to FIA officers and personnel, with plans to further enhance the agency’s operational capacity. He urged FIA officials to intensify their efforts against organized criminal gangs and achieve concrete results.

Naqvi also reviewed the progress of the FIA Zonal Office Upgradation Project, instructing authorities to expedite its completion. The FIA Zonal Office Lahore’s Director briefed the Minister on the project’s progress and the institution’s overall performance. During the past year, the FIA registered 1,670 FIRs, completed 4,000 out of 5,000 inquiries, and arrested 295 proclaimed offenders.

Additionally, the meeting concluded with a decision to replace outdated cameras at immigration counters at airports nationwide.
