Pakistan and Turkiye Commit to Boosting Bilateral Trade and Investment

Islamabad: Pakistan and Turkiye have resolved to significantly enhance their bilateral trade volume and deepen investment ties, a decision made during the seventh session of the Pakistan-Türkiye Bilateral Political Consultations in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the session was led by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi and Turkiye’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nuh Yilmaz. The discussions covered a broad spectrum of issues, including enhancing political relations and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, security, defense, information technology, culture and tourism, education, and consular services.

The consultations also addressed cooperation in multilateral and regional forums, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in global and regional matters of mutual concern. Additionally, the two sides expressed deep concerns about the ongoing conflict in Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire and resolution to the humanitarian crisis.

The Turkish delegation also met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, further solidifying the discussions aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
