Islamabad: Pakistan and Mauritius have committed to enhancing their bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation following a high-level meeting between officials from both countries. The discussions, which took place in Islamabad, were led by Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, and H.E. Mr. Mervin N. Chedumbarum of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Mauritius.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting focused on reviewing the current state of relations between the two nations and identifying new opportunities for commercial engagement. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening trade ties, promoting investment, and fostering economic linkages.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan highlighted the importance of collaboration between the private sectors of Pakistan and Mauritius, noting that business-to-business interactions are key to unlocking new trade and investment opportunities. The discussions also covered expanding institutional cooperation and facilitating greater commercial connectivity.
