Islamabad: Pakistan is prepared to go to any extent to defend the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). In an interview with Arab News, he emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, both diplomatically and physically, asserting that the country’s commitment extends to safeguarding Islam’s two holiest sites in Makkah and Madinah.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry highlighted that Pakistan’s dedication to Saudi security is unconditional and is rooted in the historical and deep bonds between the two nations’ peoples, militaries, and political leaderships. He noted that the leadership of both countries is in continuous dialogue on various matters, emphasizing the strong ties that bind them.

Chaudhry also stated that Pakistan is actively consulting with regional governments to achieve a peaceful resolution to broader regional challenges. He described the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a consensus document that provides a viable path forward in resolving complex military tensions. When questioned about the potential for renewed negotiations between Washington and Tehran, Chaudhry affirmed Islamabad’s ongoing efforts to find common ground despite existing mistrust and opposition.
