Islamabad, At a recent UN Security Council meeting, Pakistan emphasized the necessity of equitable and non-discriminatory access to scientific knowledge and technology to enhance peace and security worldwide. The statement was delivered by Ambassador Usman Jadoon, Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, during the “Unlocking the Potential of Science for Peace and Security” Arria-Formula meeting.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Jadoon outlined Pakistan’s achievements in nuclear technology, space exploration, and biotechnology, indicating the country’s significant potential in scientific fields. He stressed that removing barriers to access scientific resources is essential for developing nations to contribute effectively to global stability and peace.
