Kurram: Nineteen terrorists were killed in a violent confrontation between two rival factions of the Fitna-al-Khawarij in Central Kurram, reportedly over an extortion dispute. The armed clash, which took place in the Manato area within the jurisdiction of Chinarak Police Station, involved the Kazim Group and the Mumtaz Imti Group.
According to Radio Pakistan, the exchange of gunfire resulted in the deaths of eighteen members of the Mumtaz Imti Group, with three others reported missing. The Kazim Group suffered one fatality, and another member has been reported missing. This incident is the latest in a series of violent conflicts among different factions of the Fitna-al-Khawarij, highlighting their focus on personal gain rather than any religious or ideological cause.
Local residents have expressed concerns over the ongoing violence, noting the detrimental impact it has on their daily lives. Experts in the region suggest that there is strong public trust in the measures being implemented by state institutions to combat these terrorist activities. These groups, considered enemies of the state, are embroiled in a struggle for power, money, and influence, often resorting to shedding each other’s blood in the process.
