ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation aimed at curbing criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 36 individuals and confiscated a variety of illegal substances and firearms.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, 13 people were apprehended for their involvement in various criminal offenses. The police teams also seized 200 grams of hashish, 130 grams of heroin, 730 grams of Ice (crystal methamphetamine), 150 bottles of liquor, and four pistols with ammunition from the suspects. Legal cases have been filed against those arrested, and further investigations are underway.
In addition, as part of a targeted campaign to capture proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams detained 23 more individuals. This initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, underlining the commitment of law enforcement to maintain peace and order in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the police force is dedicated to safeguarding the community and ensuring that public peace is not disrupted. The Islamabad Police urge residents to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to enhance cooperation between the police and the public in combating crime.
