ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and curb criminal activities, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the checking of over 529 individuals.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out following directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The initiative was supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. As part of the operations, law enforcement officials thoroughly examined 192 households, 16 hotels, 28 shops, 198 motorcycles, and 65 vehicles. Fifteen individuals and twelve motorcycles deemed suspicious were taken to the police station for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that these operations aim to tighten security and crack down on criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers across the city. He noted that similar operations are ongoing in different areas throughout the district as part of a broader effort to ensure the safety and security of the capital’s residents.
