Jammu: India’s National Investigation Agency has formally charged three Kashmiri individuals with engaging in activities supportive of the pro-freedom movement in the Poonch district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
The chargesheet, submitted to a special NIA court in Jammu, identifies Abdul Aziz, Munawar Hussain, and Nazir Hussain as the accused in this case, according to Kashmir Media Service.
The agency has accused the trio of ‘motivating’ local residents to participate in activities advocating for freedom. Specifically, Nazir Hussain is alleged to have shared audio and video clips intended to incite locals to oppose India. The content reportedly focused on the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.
The NIA initiated this case in October 2024, marking a significant step in their ongoing investigations into pro-freedom activities in the region.
