Islamabad: Pakistan’s top officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, have praised javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem for his historic gold medal at the Paris Olympics, marking a significant moment of national pride and achievement.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both the President and the Prime Minister conveyed their heartfelt congratulations to Nadeem, whose victory is Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medal in decades. President Zardari described Nadeem as a national pride, emphasizing that his success at the Paris Olympics is not only a personal achievement but a monumental victory for the entire country. He recognized Nadeem’s dedication and hard work which have spotlighted Pakistan on the global stage.
