Naseerabad: In a robust move to enhance healthcare services in the Naseerabad district, Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmad Kakar announced a series of strict measures aimed at addressing deficiencies within the local health department. The focus will be on ensuring the regular attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, whose absenteeism has significantly hampered medical services in the area.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the announcement came during a meeting held by the District Health Committee, which was attended by several key health officials including MS Dr. Shaukat Ali Khosa, ADHO Dr. Huzoor Bakhsh Mengal, Drug Inspector Ejaz Ali, and representatives from PPHI Munir Ahmed Grani and Manzoor Shirazi. Deputy Commissioner Kakar emphasized the critical need for consistent presence of medical personnel, especially during night shifts, and highlighted the continuous problem of drug and vaccine availability in medical centers.
Kakar also outlined specific directives aimed at improving the overall functionality of healthcare facilities in Naseerabad, including the mandatory provision of snake and dog bite vaccines, regular surprise inspections during night hours, and strict penalties for medical store owners who fail to maintain medicines at appropriate temperatures. He reiterated that no children should be involved in selling medicines at any of the 65 medical stores across the district.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner urged the PPHI to intensify their efforts in providing medical facilities in remote areas, particularly ensuring that medicine supplies are consistent and doctors are present as required. The recent inspection, which found a doctor absent from BHU and a lapse in medicine supply at PPHI, has propelled the need for immediate action to guarantee better healthcare services for the residents of Naseerabad.
The district administration pledged full support to the health department to execute these measures effectively, with the aim of significantly reducing the problems faced by the public due to inadequate healthcare services.
