London: The United Kingdom has recognized Pakistan’s significant contributions to promoting regional peace and stability, as expressed by UK Minister of State Stephen Doughty during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in London.

According to Radio Pakistan, the UK Minister of State reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s interest in maintaining a close engagement with Pakistan on both bilateral and regional issues. The meeting included discussions on key regional developments, particularly focusing on the Middle East and Afghanistan, where both parties emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to support peace and stability.

Ishaq Dar expressed appreciation for the positive momentum in bilateral relations, underlining the necessity of continued engagement to further strengthen political, economic, and institutional connections between the two nations. The discussions also explored avenues for enhancing trade and investment, expanding cooperation in emerging sectors, strengthening climate cooperation, and fostering cultural exchanges.

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the role of the Pakistani diaspora in the United Kingdom, noting their contribution as a crucial link between the two countries.
