NAB Balochistan and University of Quetta Host Seminar on Corruption Eradication

Quetta, The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Balochistan, in partnership with the University of Balochistan, organized a seminar titled “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” on May 15, 2024, drawing attention to the crucial role students can play in combating corruption.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Director NAB Khurram Shahzad, during his address to the faculty and students, detailed the working procedures of NAB and discussed the significant impact students can have in promoting transparency and accountability in society. Shahzad used Islamic teachings to underscore the ethical obligations towards combating corruption and encouraged students to take an active role in these efforts. The seminar also featured a question-and-answer session, allowing students and faculty to engage directly with the issues of corruption and seek further clarifications.

Professor Faiza Mir of the University of Balochistan also spoke at the event, pointing out the deep-rooted nature of corruption in society and urging students to utilize their potential for societal change. The university administration expressed intentions to organize more such events to enhance anti-corruption awareness among students and bolster anti-corruption initiatives.
