Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has approved the schedule for the upcoming sessions of the National Assembly dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26.
The Federal Budget is set to be presented in the National Assembly on Tuesday at five in the evening. Concurrently, the Senate is scheduled to convene at six in the evening on the same day.
The general debate on the budget will commence on Friday, the 13th of this month. This debate is expected to continue through the 21st and will formally conclude on the same day.
The Finance Bill 2025 is slated for approval by the National Assembly on the 26th. Following this, discussions and voting on Supplementary Grants and other related matters are planned for the 27th of this month.
There will be no sessions of the House on the 11th, 12th, and 22nd of this month.
Parliamentary parties with representation in the National Assembly will receive adequate time to engage in the budget debate, adhering to the Assembly’s established rules and procedures.
