Munir Akram Advocates for Action on Palestine Crisis

United Nations, November 7, 2023: Munir Akram, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has called for international intervention to halt the ongoing aerial bombardment in Palestine. As reported by the Ministry of Information Broadcasting & National Heritage, Akram criticized the international community’s inconsistency in applying international law, contributing to the crisis in Palestine.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani will oversee Akram emphasized the need for a ceasefire, disputing Israel’s defense claims in the current situation. He highlighted the historical context of Israel’s occupation of Palestine and the prolonged violence against Palestinians as the root causes of the current conflict.
