Islamabad: Minister of Climate Change Musadik Malik today addressed a press conference focusing on the government’s recent developmental initiatives and economic policies. Stressing the Prime Minister’s commitment to aiding the underprivileged, Malik underscored efforts aimed at improving the lives of the common citizens.
The Minister highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting farmers and enhancing the agricultural sector. He pointed to projects, including road construction and the Kachi Canal in Balochistan, as steps toward provincial and national economic growth. These initiatives, Malik explained, were part of a broader strategy to bring prosperity to Balochistan and, by extension, the entire nation.
Malik noted that the government has reduced the price of petrol by 70 rupees to alleviate the impact of inflation on the poor. Despite global market challenges, the Minister emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to stabilize the economy and support the general populace.
Addressing criticism, Malik stated that previous administrations faced no objections when allocating funds to the wealthy. In contrast, he remarked that the current government’s focus on aiding the poor has been met with resistance. He affirmed that inflation rates have decreased over the past year, benefiting the public.
The Minister concluded by reiterating the Prime Minister’s vision for equitable development, stressing that Balochistan’s progress is central to the government’s agenda.
