Minister Ahsan Iqbal Advocates for Enhanced Investment Environment in Pakistan

Islamabad: Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, has called for significant improvements to foster a more investment-friendly environment in Pakistan, aiming to attract and sustain foreign and local investments under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Iqbal chaired a review meeting in Islamabad to assess the progress of ongoing projects within the PPP framework. He emphasized the importance of having clear objectives and well-defined interests as fundamental to creating viable investment opportunities across various sectors.

The meeting also included a detailed presentation by the Public-Private Partnership Authority, which outlined the current status of ongoing PPP projects and the implementation of decisions from prior meetings. Iqbal highlighted the necessity for the government to complete extensive preparatory work before engaging potential investors to ensure both the projects’ success and the investors’ confidence.
