Murree: The Managing Director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore, Ahmed Usman Javed, conducted a site visit to assess the progress of construction on several park projects in Murree. During his visit, he inspected the ongoing work at the under-construction Bagh-e-Shaheedan Park and visited the completed PIA Park Murree as well as the Botanical Garden.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Bagh-e-Shaheedan Park is being developed on 40 kanals of land with an estimated budget of Rs. 521 million. The park is set to include a food court, a steak house, a dancing fountain, and tree pots. Ahmed Usman Javed emphasized the importance of adhering to the construction timeline and maintaining the quality of materials used.
The PIA Park Murree, which has been completed, spans 17 kanals and was developed at a cost of Rs. 300 million. The Botanical Garden Murree is expected to enhance the recreational offerings in the area. During the visit, Project Director Shafiq Raza, Director of Engineering Madam Samawia, and the contractor provided briefings on both the physical and financial progress of these projects.
