LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended her congratulations to Barrister Iftikhar Gilani on his election as the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. She also offered her felicitations to the members of the AJK Legislative Assembly and the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif attributed the establishment of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to the vision of former leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. She expressed optimism that this change in leadership marks the beginning of a new era of development and prosperity in the region.
