ISLAMABAD: On a two-day official visit to Pakistan, Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar explored significant landmarks in Islamabad, including the Pakistan Monument and the Islamabad Police Lines. His visit was at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry escorted Minister Al-Hajjar throughout his engagements. The visit commenced with a ceremonial guard of honour presented by the Federal Constabulary at the Pakistan Monument. Minister Al-Hajjar laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, honoring fallen heroes, and was briefed on the site’s historical relevance, which he acknowledged.

Subsequently, Minister Al-Hajjar proceeded to the Islamabad Police Lines, where a contingent of Islamabad Police rendered a salute, accompanied by the national anthems of both countries. The minister inspected a special parade and praised the force’s professional skills. He also awarded police personnel for their commendable service, in the presence of high-ranking officials, including Inspector General of the Federal Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara and Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi.
