Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan inaugurated its New Judicial Year by pledging to enhance the speed and efficiency of justice delivery. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi emphasized the Court’s dedication to better case management, improved services, and institutional reforms during a gathering addressing the legal community and stakeholders.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Justice Afridi outlined an ambitious reform agenda structured around four key pillars: technology-enabled service delivery, enhanced access and transparency, a strengthened legal and regulatory framework, and the revitalization of justice-sector institutions. As part of the Court’s digital transformation, initiatives such as the digitization and barcoding of cases, electronic transmission of orders and judgments, e-Office systems, paperless court operations, and e-filing were highlighted.

The Chief Justice also focused on access to justice and public facilitation, noting the establishment and enhancement of the Public Facilitation Centre. Additionally, efforts to improve digital communication mechanisms, feedback systems, and facilities for litigants, overseas Pakistanis, and the media were underscored.
