Lahore to Upgrade C-Class Parks Following Horticulture Meeting

Lahore: A meeting chaired by Tasleem Akhtar Rao, the Additional Managing Director of the Horticulture Agency in Lahore, resolved to commence comprehensive planning for upgrading C-Class parks throughout the city. The initiative aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the meeting involved seeking details of missing facilities in C-Class parks. On the orders of Ahmed Usman Javed, Managing Director of the Horticulture Agency Lahore, relevant directors have been given proformas to gather information on available and absent facilities in these parks. Tasleem Akhtar Rao has instructed all directors to present detailed reports within two weeks.

The proforma requires information on various park features, including area, boundary walls, walkways, jogging tracks, lighting, children’s swings, flower beds, grass lawns, and trees. Additionally, directors must report on the availability of washrooms, drinking water, gyms, and other necessary and recreational amenities.

Rao stated that the reports will inform the necessary measures and priorities for improving C-Class parks, aiming to provide better and accessible recreational facilities for the city’s residents.
