KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi Denounces Indian Actions in Kashmir on Black Day

Peshawar: On the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi voiced a strong condemnation of the brutalities committed by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He honored the resilience and fight for freedom of the Kashmiri people, marking the day as a significant moment of solidarity.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Governor Kundi criticized India’s prolonged attempts to quash the Kashmiri desire for self-determination through force and political suppression. He highlighted the ongoing violations of democratic rights and United Nations resolutions by Indian authorities, particularly noting the severe measures implemented since August 5, 2019, which he described as efforts to strip Kashmiris of their rights.

Governor Kundi praised the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, emphasizing that their struggle and resilience would be remembered as a golden chapter in the history of freedom movements. Despite the oppressive conditions, he remarked on the strengthening resolve among Kashmiris to achieve self-determination and liberty.

The Governor also underscored the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) active role in advocating for Kashmiri rights, with particular commendation for PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s efforts to bring international attention to the issue. He called on the global community and the United Nations to enforce resolutions addressing the Kashmir dispute, deeming it crucial for peace in South Asia.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri cause, Governor Kundi urged India to acknowledge that its repressive tactics would not undermine the Kashmiris’ legitimate aspirations and rights. He concluded by framing the Kashmir issue as a broader struggle for justice and freedom, with Pakistan unwavering in its commitment to stand with the Kashmiri people.
