Kohat: The recent suicide attack on a mosque in Kohat has been linked to Afghanistan, highlighting the use of Afghan territory for organizing terrorist activities against Pakistan. The bomber has been identified as Matiullah, an Afghan national, with investigations ongoing to identify a second suspect.

According to Radio Pakistan, the involvement of Matiullah exposes the Afghan Taliban regime’s duplicity, as its representatives have made misleading statements on international platforms to deflect attention from state-sponsored terrorism. This incident underscores evidence of Afghan soil being used to plan and execute attacks in Pakistan.

In recent developments, Pakistani security forces thwarted several infiltration attempts from Afghanistan. Last month, fifteen terrorists were neutralized near Ghulam Khan, and five others were stopped in South Waziristan. Additionally, an attempted border crossing near Kurram was repelled by vigilant Pakistani troops.

Multiple reports from the United Nations and international media have previously pointed to the Afghan Taliban’s support of terrorist groups. A UN report identified over 20 organizations, including ‘Fitna Al-Khawarij’ and ‘Fitna Al-Hindustan’, as operating within Afghanistan.
