Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forest and Environment Minister Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai presided over a high-level meeting to assess the performance of the Forest Department and discuss new strategies for environmental preservation in the region.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting, which included contributions from MPA Sultan Rum and Chief Conservator Fazal Elahi among other regional forest officers, highlighted the minister’s approval of the department’s efforts towards making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a cleaner, greener province. Minister Yousafzai expressed a strong stance against illegal deforestation and emphasized the necessity of expanding plantation activities to safeguard future generations.
He called for accelerated efforts in plantations across the province and urged public participation in environmental conservation. By promoting more widespread planting activities, the minister aims to combat environmental pollution effectively and ensure the sustainability of natural resources.
