Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Focuses on Flood-Damaged Road Repairs with Asian Development Bank Support

Peshawar, A crucial meeting on the restoration and repair of flood-affected roads was held in Peshawar under the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Communications and Construction Shakeel Ahmed, with significant participation from the Asian Development Bank.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the session focused on the urgent rehabilitation needs of the province’s road infrastructure, heavily damaged by recent floods. Discussions revolved around funding and logistical challenges, with ADB representatives Khurram Ghafoor Asif Jay Tarangzai and Adrian T. Norte providing insights into collaborative opportunities.

Minister Ahmed highlighted the provincial government’s commitment to using all available resources to expedite the repair processes and alleviate transportation difficulties faced by residents. He acknowledged the ongoing support from the Asian Development Bank, expressing gratitude for their assistance in past and ongoing communication projects, and voiced hope for continued cooperation to address the region’s infrastructural needs.
