Kasur Police’s Annual Achievements Highlighted in Meeting with IG Punjab

LAHORE, A recent meeting held at the Central Police Office (CPO) saw Inspector General (IG) of Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, interacting with DPO Kasur Tariq Aziz Sindhu and his team, where Sindhu presented a comprehensive review of the Kasur Police’s performance for the current year, citing significant accomplishments and arrests.

According to a new release by the Punjab Police, during the briefing, DPO Kasur shared that the district police successfully recovered and returned stolen property valued at 22 crores to its rightful owners this year. Furthermore, the City Chunian police station apprehended three dangerous proclaimed offenders who had been evading law enforcement for nearly 18 years, having fled from Karachi. Notably, Kasur Police solved 86 murder cases, including 10 that were previously unsolved or “blind” murders, and ensured the arrest and incarceration of the responsible individuals. The district’s law enforcement also made significant strides in swiftly solving cases such as tracking down the criminals behind the Sialkot Daska terrorist incident within just four hours of the act. A child kidnapping case saw the child safely rescued within a mere three hours by the Sadar Patuki police station.

Commending the Kasur police for their exceptional efforts in solving high-profile robbery, murder, and other critical cases, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of ramping up intelligence-driven operations against criminal elements. He also underscored the essential role of modern technology in ensuring citizen safety and advocated for strategies that simplify public service delivery to the people.
