Karachi Official Pledges Resolution to Fishermen’s Issues Amid Election Delays

Karachi, In a significant meeting held on Monday, Syed Najmi Alam, the Advisor to the Chief Minister on Livestock Fisheries and Human Settlement, discussed the resolution of longstanding issues affecting the local fishermen community, including corruption within the Fishermen Cooperative Society and delays in board elections.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the session was attended by members of the Pakistan Fishermen Union and Fisherman Lara Jamaat, including notable figures such as Dr. Yusuf, Hanif Lara, Faiz Jamot, and Rashid Mama. The delegates briefed Syed Najmi Alam on various concerns, prompting his commitment to address these with the Chief Minister of Sindh promptly.

Syed Najmi Alam assured the fishermen that their demand to conduct elections using the old cards would be conveyed to the Chief Minister along with other critical issues. He emphasized the administration’s dedication to overcoming any obstacles to ensure the welfare and operational integrity of the fishermen community.
