Karachi, The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has escalated its efforts to reclaim government lands by demolishing illegal constructions in Korangi Town, as part of a city-wide operation to combat land encroachment.
According to Karachi Development Authority, the recent operation in Sector 35/C of Korangi Town involved the removal of about ten mud houses and communal plots using heavy machinery. Directed by KDA’s Director of State and Enforcement under the orders of DG Syed Shujaat Hussain, the operations are aimed at sending a clear message against the occupation mafia, emphasizing zero tolerance for encroachments on government properties.
The authority has vowed to continue these operations to ensure the protection of state lands. The operation was executed in coordination with local police and administration officials, including Additional Director State and Enforcement Jameel Baloch and Executive Engineer Korangi, ensuring that the process adhered to strict legal and procedural guidelines.
